The Claude R. Platte DFW Chapter of TAI is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization whose mission is to perpetuate the historic legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and to encourage and assist minority youth in pursuing post-secondary education and careers in the aerospace industry.

“RED TAILS” at THE AMSTAR CINEMAS 14 DALLAS 10110 Technology Blvd. E., Dallas, Tx. 75220 on Tuesday, January 17th 2012. It was a Red Carpet Reception that included 6 original Tuskegee Airmen from the DFW area. This epilogue dedicated to the first African American Aviators of World War 2.

As the war in Europe continues to take its toll on Allied forces, the Pentagon brass has no recourse but to consider unorthodox options—including the untried and untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Against all the odds these intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country.
A Defining Moment examines the personal stories of these four valiant men whose contribution to the civil rights movement helped pave the way for this historic event. Through courage, discipline and faith, these men come full circle to witness this defining moment in history.
